Join Us
If you would like to become a member of the WRjc you must first become a member of the Weardale Railway Trust, then you may apply to become a member of the Junior Club.
Once your Junior Club application has been received you will be contacted to attend an informal interview. Currently we have no vacancies and all applications received will be placed on a waiting list.
To apply to join please follow these easy steps:-
Step 1
To become a member of the Weardale Railway Junior Club applicants must first become a member of the Weardale Railway Trust (currently £8 per year) so that they are covered by the Trust's insurance. The Trust membership application form can be downloaded via the following link:-

Please return your completed Trust membership form along with payment (cheque or postal order payable to "Weardale Railway Trust") to:- The Membership Secretary, Weardale Railway Trust Ltd, Stanhope Station, Stanhope, Bishop Auckland, Co. Durham, DL13 2YS.
Step 2
Applicants then submit an application form to join the Junior Club. The application form can be downloaded via the following link:-

Please return your completed Junior Club application form to:- David Million / Michael Wilkinson, Volunteer Liaison Team, Weardale Railway Trust, Stanhope Station, Stanhope, Bishop Auckland, Co. Durham. DL13 2YS.
There is no charge to become a member of WRjc, but please note that there is a 50p charge everytime you attend a training session and a charge of £1 everytime you attend the model club.
Step 3
Once your completed Junior Club application form has been received and your Trust membership confirmed a member of the WRjc training team will be in touch to arrange an informal interview. Upon acceptance into the club you will be invited to a welcome session afterwhich you will be able to attend training sessions, educational visits, undertake work experience placements and apply to join the model railway club if you wish.
